Veronica gentianoides is a compact, thick-growing plant,
thriving in sun or shade so long as it has moisture. Growing
twelve to eighteen inches high it has racemes of bluish flowers.
Viola. There are several violets which flourish in moist
conditions. These include V. canina the ordinary dog violet
and V. palustris the Marsh Violet, having lilac flowers marked
deep blue.
